Leave your ego
at the door,
with your shoes,
coat
and other belongings.
So hostile it seems
out there
But in carrying
more,
you can only experience
less.
Leave your ego
at the door,
not as you
come in
but as you head
out
into life
and all it may offer.
Stride out
naked,
vulnerable,
with no choice
but
to be grateful
and aware.
